Traditional Pottery Visit to La Chamba

In the town of La Chamba, Tolima, approximately an hour away from both houses, you can visit different pottery workshops that have worked with clay for a long time, it's become a part of their identity. On the way to this town you can make a stop in El Espinal to try some of the traditional  delicacies of this region, like "lechona", "achiras", "quesillo", "avena", "mazato", between many others and continue to La Chamba where you can learn about the process behind this beautiful and unique technique of orange and black pottery. Afterwards you can also visit a communitarian beach of the Magdalena river, take a dip if you wish and head back home. The whole trip does take almost all day, so plan ahead and we can organize for transportation and a small tour with Mrs. Luzmery ahead of time.
