Playing "Tejo" or "Turmequé"

The traditional game and national sport called "Tejo" or "Turmequé" consists of throwing a heavy metal piece to a structure fille with clay. The center has another metal ring where different gunpowder triangles are placed and when zou hit it it explodes, you make points and have a lot of fun! Usually this game is accompanied by a lot of beer and can be found around almost any corner of Colombia. You can access from the most humble to the fanciest courts in different towns and cities, we like to stay on the humble and authentic version of this game. There's around 3 courts you can visit near the houses, if you'd like to go one afternoon, we can show you where it is and you'll have to arrive as soon as possible, because the first one to arrive takes the spot!
